Use of the phrase "conspiracy theory" came about in 1967 in a CIA memo to agency higher-ups suggesting its use to criticize people skeptical of the Warren Report. Search and you'll find it online.

Thereafter it began appearing frequently in newspapers, and later in a forgettable book that supposed intellectuals like to cite. It's remarkable psychology, in that in practical use (not by media and political officials) it allows people of low curiosity/intelligence to 1) avoid thinking, and 2) to ridicule people who are more curious/intelligent.

So suppose that you, Petra, are at a gathering of friends and relatives and you forget etiquette and mentions that, say, Sandy Hook was a staged event (or in my case, Columbine), one of those at the gathering will react by chanting "coo coo, coo coo" and ask where's your tin hat.. The person doing that ridicule will have no standing, being incurious and a non-reader, probably burdened by a low IQ and thoroughly a Dunning Krueger mascot. But you lose, and he/she wins. You learn from that episode to STFU. Ain't it amazing how well it works?

I doff my cap to the guy who wrote that 1967 memo. It is clever beyond the norm.

Yeah, I've heard about the Warren Report connection although apparently the term was actually used even as early as the late 1800s but I think only as a propaganda weapon since 1967.

https://academic.oup.com/book/25369/chapter-abstract/192453115

Yep, it is the most powerful propaganda weapon of all time. Now, there's "misinformation", of course, but it's not as powerful as "conspiracy theory" and it's infuriating the way academia uses it as if it's a legitimate term.

I think they overstepped it with monkey pox though. Even the normies won't have that one. We know people will accept just about anything ... but there's always a limit. It'll be interesting to see how many people respond to that nonsense.

I enjoyed your article. It perhaps isn’t important what we call these deceptions by evil people, rather that we see that they occur everywhere and always. I too do not believe in the moon landings. Why has it not been reproduced? Why were all the documents and records destroyed? Discernment is hard, it is a gift of the Spirit and we mere mortals don’t always get it right. The devil has been lying to us since time began so really anything can be a lie.

Thanks, Laura. If the CT terms weren't gaslighting labels I'd be OK with them I suppose although they simply feel wrong regardless but they are and that's why it's important to steer away from them and use more appropriate terms.

With regard to determining the truth about any event, I believe that what has priority is the evidence put forward. If the evidence put forward is internally consistent and consistent with expectations then anomalies such as "never going again" or "destroying records" can be accepted - and I find the explanations given for these anomalies perfectly reasonable. I'm very familiar with rubbish "explanations" and poor debunking arguments when it comes to many other events but I find all the explanations and debunking of moon hoax arguments perfectly reasonable. I don't believe in judging by what seems plausible and implausible but by the evidence, especially when there's mountains of the stuff as there is for the moon landings.

NATO = NORTH ATLANTIC TRANSGENDER ORGANIZATION

NATO – an anti-white and anti-family institution . . .

After the apocalypse of 1945, a number of global organizations have been formed with the aim of maintaining and expanding totalitarian liberalism. One of the earliest organizations formed for this purpose was the war alliance "North Atlantic Treaty Organization", or NATO, which can be seen as the military wing of globalism.

In addition to ensuring that Washington always has international support for its military campaigns, NATO as an institution is explicitly anti-white and explicitly dedicated to "racial justice" for racial aliens living in white countries. As early as 1999, NATO authored reports blaming nationalists for a number of modern problems and warning against the influence of nationalism.

In 2023, the war alliance held a summit at its headquarters in Brussels on race where the alliance's leaders pledged to fight "homogeneous attitudes" and to use NATO's "collective intelligence" for the purpose.

In fact, NATO is so dedicated to its anti-white agenda that it openly advocates that institutions must be reshaped to be "inclusive," in other words, restructured to be more anti-white, and consist of fewer white employees and executives.

In what the late Saddam Hussein once dubbed “the great Satan,” roughly two-thirds of the United States enlisted military corps is white . . . The fat, bulbous U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin once confirmed in a 93-2 vote of the U.S. Senate, immediately embarked on a whirlwind media tour of duty, telling the pseudo-secular sycophants in the state-controlled tabloid press and state-controlled television talk show circuit about how the U.S. Army is full of bad racist white men.

Senior Defense Department leaders celebrating yet another Pride Month at the Pentagon sounding the alarm about the rising number of state laws they say target the LGBTQ+ community, warned the trend is hurting the feelings of the armed forces . . . “LGBTQ plus and other diverse communities are under attack, just because they are different. Hate for hate’s sake,” said Gil Cisneros, the Pentagon’s undersecretary for personnel and readiness, who also serves as DoD’s chief diversity and inclusion officer.

And now the U.S. Army is doing ads begging for more young white males? What happened?

Even with a full-on declaration of war from Congress, and even if Gavin Newsome could be cheated into the Oval Office by ZOG somehow, with Globohomo diversity brigades going door-to-door looking to impress American children into military service, they will be met with armed, well-trained opposition, the invasion at the Southern border is going full tilt, and the drugs are flowing in like never before.

Get ready for it . . . the fat old devil worshipping fags on Capitol Hill, on Wall Street, in Whitehall, and in Brussels are in no shape to fight a war themselves, and most Americans are armed to the teeth with their own guns . . . NATO hates heterosexual white men . . . they said so themselves . . .

Well said. I say bring on the clowns in blue hats... there will be more than one barrel behind each blade of grass. White Men also do get a little touchy when genocidal pharmaceutical plunder becomes a way of life for a small cadre of globalists controlling the world. It's unfortunate prior generations left the world in such a ghetto. Blame spreads far, but Modern Education (government indoctrination camps) created clerks just smart enough to follow orders and repeat what they're told - and dumb enough to think this makes them smarter than everyone else.... and as long as we believe it wasn't intentional they win. Science, History - Geo-politics are designed to keep you believing it's too much for us. As for Lloyd Austin - I did hear him say to the American People, "You either give us your money to fight for Israel in the Mideast or we will force you to send your children to this war." They think with Chinese invaders/ military aged men crossing the S. Border - believing they will kill off all the Whites first then take their wives as slaves. Take your pick - lose your kids to the Americans and your wives to the Chinese. Whatever the world thinks of American white men - they better know most of us do produce solutions without government permission.

Jewish messianism has been spreading its poisonous message among us for nearly two thousand years. Democratic and communist universalisms are more recent, but they have only strengthened the old Jewish narrative. These are the same ideals . . .

The transnational, transracial, transcultural ideals that these ideologies preach to us (beyond peoples, races, cultures) and are the daily diet in our schools, in our media, in our pop culture, in our universities and on our streets, have reduced our biosymbolic identity and ethnic pride to their minimal expression.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are death cults that originated in the Middle East and are completely alien to Europe and its peoples.

Sometimes one wonders why the European left gets along so well with Muslims. Why does an often openly anti-religious movement side with a fierce religiosity that seems to oppose almost everything the left always claims to stand for? Part of the explanation lies in the fact that Islam and Marxism share a common ideological root: Judaism.

Don Rumsfeld was right to say, "Europe has shifted on its axis," the wrong side has won World War II, and it is becoming clearer by the day . . .

What has NATO done to defend Europe?

Absolutely nothing.

My enemies are not in Moscow, Damascus, Tehran, Riyadh or some ethereal Teutonic bogeyman, but in Washington, Brussels and Tel Aviv.

Why are you listing a series of FALSE Establishment theories against "conspiracy theory?" We have to CULTURALLY CRUSH the anti-conspiracy theory memes started by the CIA after the Kennedy Assassination. It is crucial to have the most accurate conspiracy theories possible just like in physics, chemistry, health, medicine, social studies, psychology, etc. All human knowledge is "theory." Facts are just theories assigned a high confidence level.

I think my article explains why - the main points with the relation to the actual terms are:

1. We're talking psyops so why not use the specific term for the conspiracy type?

2. As the MO of psyops is "hidden in plain sight" the fact of psyop is hardly "theoretical", OK we can say "theory" in the true sense of the word but the fact of psyop is very obvious ... because they make it so.

3. A lot of refutation doesn't call conspiracy and doesn't need to. "Conspiracy" is really at a secondary level. You don't call conspiracy first, you say, "There's something wrong with the story," and that is, in fact, all you need to say. "Conspiracy" is inferred from the obvious lies of the story.

You are just complying with Establishment, ruling class conspiracy dictat regarding conspiracies. They want the word banned except for the DOJ, FBI and other prosecutors.

Crazy, the number of conservatives who start explaining a conspiracy theory by denying they are a conspiracy theorist. Makes them look stupid!

Psyop means psychological manipulation and, thus, covers a vast array of possibilities for doing that, but not all conspiratorial actions.

Also, many psyops are not in "plain sight" unless you have a high confidence conspiracy theory about what is happening.

When EVERYONE is a conspiracy theorist, we have WON. The CIA told us that by indirection!

Whenever I hear about a new government or NWO policy initiative I look for the conspiracy behind it.

I'd argue EVERY single event that is a conspiracy and to which the term "conspiracy theory" is applied is a psyop and is "hidden in plain sight." Sure there are many conspiracies that are not "psyops" but they don't have the label "conspiracy theory" applied. The moon landings do not betray psyop MO ... but then they actually happened so ... not a psyop!

Psyop means psychological manipulation - yes but there is a phenomenon "psyop" which has a distinct MO and to which the term "conspiracy theory" is applied. Please let me know a single conspiracy to which the term "conspiracy theory" is applied that isn't a psyop.

Most conspiracies if physical and real also have psychological effects so they can be seen as psyops with a conspiracy behind them. Conspiracies have multiple motives in most cases. A surprise attack would have little psychological motivation. Mostly physical destruction. Can't have a surprise attack without a conspiracy.

Of course the moon landings were a psyop with a conspiracy behind them. That would be true whether the landings were real or not. The psychological effect was to lionize American technology.

Don't tell me you think the moon landings were real?

Yes, I do think the moon landings were real - that's the only event.

I think we need to clarify something. There is a particular phenomenon called a "psyop" which is distinct from other forms of psychological manipulation. In psyops there are deliberate giveaway signals and the terms "hidden in plain sight" and "revelation of the method" are applied to these events. Are you not familiar with this phenomenon?

Let's put aside the moon landings and consider other events to which the term "conspiracy theory" is applied: 9/11 and a number of other alleged terror events, covid (and other epidemic/pandemic events), mass school shootings, Pearl Harbour, etc. All of these events betray "hidden in plain sight".

Please just nominate a conspiracy to which the term "conspiracy theory" is applied that isn't a "hidden in plain sight" psyop.

No reason to think all psyops have those characteristics. But I have a different theory about it. They do it to signal or trigger the conspiracy theorists. They plaster 33 over everything they do and all sorts of other symbolic stuff to give themselves away. Sometimes when there is no actual psyop or conspiracy. Because they have successfully demonized "conspiracy theorists" this "proves" there is no conspiracy in the minds of the masses. The louder conspiracy theorists clamor the more they are rejected due to the CIA psyop that demonized conspiracy theorists in re: the Kennedy Assassination.

There are also psyop people who define psyops as "nothing burgers," claiming nothing but conflict and FEAR is the goal. No. There are tyrannical agendas, further enslavement of mankind, further depopulation, disease, etc.

WE MUST BREAK the anti-conspiracy theory mind set. Tyranny is always all about conspiracy.

Excellent work Psyop detective. My understanding of the term "conspiracy theory" was first coined by the CIA/FBI to mislead the public following the JFK assassination. When you get a chance, check out my post on the JFK coup - https://philberg.substack.com/p/who-shot-jfk

I very much appreciate your reading of all my posts Philberg. I had a quick read of your JFK post - interesting the parallels between you, your son and Lee Harvey Oswald. There is no doubt he was intelligence ... but there is also no doubt he wasn't really shot, he was just playing patsy as he said BUT the same applies for JFK and it would very strongly seem RFK. I'd really, really, really like to know what RFK Jr knows - surely he'd know his father wasn't killed or was that hidden from him? - and also, of course, why JFK's and RFK's assassinations were faked. Why were they faked and what happened to them?

The False Dilemma propaganda strategy doesn't only apply to 9/11 - it also applies to the Kennedy brothers, Pearl Harbour, the post 9/11 anthrax attacks and the 1980 Bologna station bombing and I'm sure other bombings in that period in Italy. I'm also pretty sure it applies to the Oklahoma bombing.

We're given the impression these events were "false flags", that is, the perpetrators were really other than what is claimed, when - in reality - the events are completely staged - there might be a bombing but it's an evacuated bombing.

You talk about Allen Dulles. This is a quote from an important CIA guy which provides the lens we always need to apply when they tell us stuff. It's layer upon layer. Books are so often written by agents putting us on the wrong scent.

“We want our adversaries to find themselves in a wilderness of mirrors.”

James Angleton, head of counterintelligence operations, CIA

Hi Petra, you might want to read more. Your JFK Fake Assassination page is blatant "Cherry Picking," for instance, the John Connally and the "magic" bullet thingy. Your no doubt position that JFK was not assassinated is bizarre and fails to explain the numerous people murdered afterwards, such as Dorothy Kilgallen. I was hoping you and I could write a book together, but what you just wrote above suggests to me that you are sort of a flake. No worries though, because I'm sort of an asshole - oh well. You would struggle with my warped sense of humor. Toodles...

I think the definition of cherry-picking is deliberate ignoring of evidence and I'd never, ever deliberately ignore evidence, Philberg. I don't want what I believe to be right, I always want to believe what is right and I'm always willing to change my mind as soon as evidence comes along that tells me I should. I might be unaware of evidence that contradicts my hypothesis but I think that situation isn't classed as cherry-picking, that's simply a case of a wrong hypothesis due to insufficient information.

In the case of all the alleged murders it is neither lack of awareness nor cherry-picking because my hypothesis stands despite them. What says the murders are real?

There were two propaganda campaigns pushed out for JFK just as there were for 9/11. In both cases we were presented with a false dilemma:

Option A. Terrorists / Lone gunman

Option B. Government+ cabal / Government+ cabal

when in reality there were no deaths in either case (at least not as far as we can tell)

I find it very, very, very difficult to get my head around JFK faking his own death and I'm not American and I was only 2 at the time so for Americans, especially older ones I can really understand how difficult it is to come to terms with this fakery. Quite honestly, I cannot say I totally believe JFK's assassination was faked, it's just a case of the evidence telling us it was. I don't blame anyone for not believing it. It's simply too unbelievable and why?

But look at the evidence. Also, there is no good explanation for where the alleged bullets came from. Where did they come from and would they really risk carrying out such a dicey operation? What happened if something went wrong?
